About
Hello. In this article, I intend to tell you, dear readers, about myself and my past, and to express myself in detail.
I am Kaan. I was born on August 16, 2004, and I am 22 years old. Although I am originally from Çankırı, due to the circumstances of the period in which I was born, my grandfathers migrated to Istanbul and built themselves a new urban life here. Indeed, according to my personal observation, migrating from the provinces to Istanbul was quite a normal thing to do at the time, due to the conditions and circumstances of that period.
I suppose I should study recent Turkish political history again in order to provide more in-depth information about this subject. Writing a piece by thinking for myself without the help of AI after such a long time has made me realize my shortcomings.
I have been working at the digital marketing agency founded by my older brother since I was 15. This was where I first encountered programming, through WordPress.
Afterwards, I took my first step with a “C Programming Language Course” that I found on the internet.
Following this, I was designing websites for small businesses at work using WordPress. Meanwhile, my programming journey had entered an endless while loop as I constantly switched between PHP, C, C++, Python.
Indeed, despite being diagnosed with ADHD and Anxiety at a young age, I was deprived of early treatment until the age of 20, and because of this, I had to face quite a lot of problems. Being deprived of early treatment deeply affected both my professional and social life.
The worst part of having a mental illness is people expect you to behave as if you don’t.
Although I eventually received treatment, I was able to put my lifestyle into a sort of routine and return to my programming journey. During this period, I made the greatest effort to learn 🦀 Rust, the programming language I had been most eager to learn, and I managed to do so.
Unfortunately, despite achieving something after such a long period of time, I faced the reality that I had been away from social relationships for around 4–5 years, fell into a depression, and ended up frustrated.
Thus, with sudden mood changes and medication changes, I stayed away from my desires, routines, and habits for a while longer, and I am currently striving to solve this by finding them again and putting them back into place.
Finally, during this process, I decided to bring my personal blog to life with Claude Code. I don’t like web programming, so I didn’t put any effort into it myself and couldn’t bring myself to do so. This website is entirely vibe coding :( If I had a friend who was a web developer, I would have preferred to have them make it for me.
That’s it. Here, I intend to share articles about the books I have read, the things I have learned, and my personal experiences.
O Hanzala, sometimes it is like this, and sometimes it is like that.
